Return-to-Work Programs
WellComp understands that workers' compensation claims expenses rise the longer the injured employee is out of work. WellComp formulates and then executes an integrated managed care plan,
including a return-to-work program when appropriate, for each employee injury claim. This gets injured employees back to work as quickly as possible and helps preserve their morale and feelings of goodwill toward their employer.
Return-to-work programs are designed by a variety of professionals including nurse case managers, physical therapists, physicians, industrial hygienists and occupational and vocational therapists.
Light-duty jobs are devised to have the injured employee perform productive work at a pace and in conditions that complement medical treatment. In almost all cases, WellComp has found that injured employees appreciate the
individualized attention and the opportunity to take an active role in their rehabilitation and return to the workplace.
